A Union City man has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenileš, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suaš rez.
On š²Sept. 29, members of the Hudson County Prosecutorās Office Special Victims Unit arrested Charles D. Rodriguez, 51, from Unionš City. Rodriguez faces charges that he allegedly sexually assaulted a girl when she was between the ages of six and nine.
The victim, also a Union City resident, is now 13. Rodriguez has been charged with second-degree Sexualš Assault and third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Rodriguez was arrestedš at the Hudson County Prosecutoź¦rās Office in Jersey City without incident.
Prosecutor Suarez credited the Hudson Cš§ounty Prosecutorās Office Special Victims Unit for theĀ investigation and arrest.

The above charges are merely accusatiš¼ons. The defendant is presšumed innocent until proven guilty.
