DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, October 11\, Duke Farms is hosting a Fall Stewardsh
 ip Workshop aimed at helping landowners and stewards better manage their n
 atural resources. This six-hour hands-on workshop will cover topics like c
 ontrolling invasive plants and managing deer populations. It’s a great o
 pportunity to learn practical skills from local experts.\nEvent Details\nT
 he Fall Stewardship Workshop is a full-day event that will teach you impor
 tant techniques for keeping your land healthy. You'll learn how to spot an
 d manage invasive plants\, use seasonal management strategies\, and unders
 tand why deer management plays a key role in protecting the environment.\n
 \nHere’s what you’ll learn:\n\n 	How to identify invasive plants\n 	Wh
 ich invasive plants to prioritize managing\n 	Seasonal strategies for land
  management\n 	The role of deer management in controlling invasive species
 \n\nThe workshop also offers Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) for profe
 ssionals\, including:\n\n 	NJ Pesticide Control Program: 12 CEUs\n 	New Je
 rsey Urban and Community Forestry (NJUCF): 5.5 CEUs\n\nMeet the Instructor
 s:\n\n 	Mike Bellaus\, the Manager of Habitat Restoration at Duke Farms\, 
 has nearly a decade of experience managing local plant and animal life. He
 ’s an expert in deer management and invasive species control and works w
 ith the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife on deer population surveys.\n 	Mi
 ke Van Clef\, Stewardship Director at FoHVOS\, has over 25 years of experi
 ence in ecology and land management. He co-founded the Invasive Species St
 rike Team in New Jersey and holds a Ph.D. in ecology from Rutgers Universi
 ty.\n\nEvent Location\nThe workshop will take place at Duke Farms:\n1112 D
 ukes Pkwy W\, Hillsborough\, NJ 08844.\nEvent Price and Conditions\nThe co
 st to attend the workshop is $75. Registration is required in advance\, an
 d refunds are available if you cancel at least 48 hours before the event.
