Great news for Jersey City’s art lovers! Nimbus Arts Center and Bridge Art Gallery are forming a fantastic newౠ partnership.
They’re plann😼ing to bring us some amazing art shows every two months, featuring a mix of taleꦿnted artists from Jersey City and across the country.
Amazin♍gly, the team-up is to make art more accessible, exciting, and connected to t🌞he community.
- Nimbus Arts Center and Bridge Art Gallery are teaming up to host bi-monthly art shows featuring a mix of local and national artists, creating a fresh and lively space for art in Jersey City.
- The partnership kicks off with exciting exhibitions like “Verses from the Abstraction” and “Garden Renaissance,” which showcase everything from abstract art to community-focused pieces by up-and-coming and established artists.

Fall 2024 Art Exhibitions You Don’t Want to Miss
The new partnership will start with some inspiring events this fall. First up is Verses from the Abstraction, ▨an exhibition that invites you to explore abstract art.
You’ll get to see works from artists like Anthony Boone, Salim, Heather Willꦫiams, Gabriel D’Elia, Leandro Comrie, and Bryant Small. The show opens on Friday, September 13th, 2024, and runs until Sunday, September 29th.
Next, in October, we’ll see the return of Garden Renaissance, a popular showcase that highlights the work of New Jersey artists. And this exhibit is all about community, social change, and worki🍰ng together to create art.
In January, the partnership will bring us Expressive Creative Soul, featuring 🗹the Women’s Live Artist Studio (WLAS), a Chica🦋go-based arts collective. This annual event, now in its 11th year, celebrates Black artists, both new and established.
In early 2025, Nimbus Dance and𓂃 Bridge Art Gallery will issue an open call for art submissions for a multi-disciplinary project.
The project, featuring choreography by Nimbus and an oral history comp✤onent led by author Helene Stapinski, aims to explore and document the perspectives of Jersey City residents on their past, present, and future.
Essentially, it will come to life through an👍 art exhibition and a live performance during Nimbus Dance’s spring season, mixing different art forms in a truly special way.

Nimbus Arts Center and Bridge Art Gallery are planning various events throughout the year, including art openings, a﷽rtist talks, and workshops.

The Legacy of Bridge Art Gallery and Nimbus Arts Center in Jersey City
Bridge Art Gallery has been essential to the Hudson County art scene since 2016. The gallery’s co-founders, Cheryl and Christopher Mack, are known for their creative exhibitions and for supporting local and international artists.
Recent shows at Nimbus Arts Center have featured well-kn🍒own artists like Gordon Parks, Chi Modu, Ben Jones, Cheryl Gross, Danielle Scott, Bryant Small, Ajamu Kojo, Theda Sandifoꩲrd, and Donna Kessinger.
Nimbus Arts Center opened in 2020 and is a 14,900-square-foot arts facility at The Lively in Jersey City. It’s home to Nim✱bus Dance, New Jersey’s leading contemporary dance company, thಌe School of Nimbus, and several partner arts groups.
Inside, the center features a 150-seat black box theater, four dance studios, an art gallery, event space🀅,♛ and administrative offices. And it’s fully accessible so that everyone can enjoy the arts.
